NORTH HORIZON are a four piece guitar band from Clontarf Dublin. Formed under the name 'Horizon' in 2000 they gigged Ireland extensively and built up a loyal fanbase along the way. Achieving lots of airplay on local stations they were also finalists in the Hotpress/Bacardi band of the year final in Vicar St. 2002. In May 2002 they gave up their day jobs to concentrate solely on what they do best - write and perform melodic rock music. Spending most of the summer of 2002 writing material for their debut album (due out late 2003). In October, changing their name to 'NORTH HORIZON', they went into Ashtown Studio's with the help of Dermot Lambert from BLINK and emerged three months later with ten tracks. their debut ep is out now, featuring 1. we're alright 2. 24 hour square 3. hold on now. all of which will be on their debut album due out late 2003. |
